Due to the last one breaking when something fell out of the cupboard above, I need to replace the glass hob cover on our SMEV 401. I have a new cover but I'm really stumped as to how to fit it. Does it involve taking the whole unit out?. I have emailed Smev but thought it wise to cover all options

    Hi

I'm afraid so, same cooker as we have. I had to remove mine to replace the grill burner. Mine was held in place with a few screws, some behind the oven door and a few around the hob.. Gas pipe and 12v wiring was long enough to gain access without disconnecting ..
