how do I replace the seal on my motorhome (1 Viewer)

I found a leak in my van and found that the seal from the roof and the side pannel was wet behind it, so I carfully pulled a bit back and replaced it to see if i can and it did so I removed all the top section cleaned all the dirt an water of an tried to refit it:cry:. it wont go back and its raining, i think i have made a bad job worse...any sugestions
the seal looks like it was put on befor the roof went on because there are remains of stapels in it please help:Doh:

sounds like you need a PVC tarpalin in a hurry until it stops raining:Eeek:

and park the van so water runs away from the joint.
