Ok using an iPhone 6s I have purchased the park4anight app.

I would like to airdrop it to my mac but can't see how to do it.

I know there's many clever clogs here so could one step forward please and help me in my hour of need

I'm not sure you can drop an iOS App onto a Mac, I think Airdrop is for sharing content (photos, files etc) rather than programmes (apps).
