How do I disconnect/reconnect these solar fittings please?

enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
Can anyone advise how to disconnect these solar fittings please. I don't want to damage them and want to reconnect them later?

You can squeeze the middle depression together and pull them apart….but a tool like this might make it easier (it’s the prongs on the end they you insert to part two plugs)
