Pole and a nice warm bucket of wax any day, with a hosepipe and lots of nice fresh water. Good soaking to remove the grit and dust and then elbow grease. Good form of a workout too.
Defo don’t ever use detergent, all vehicles have some form of drainage system and all a detergent will do is wash away any wax residue, polish or protection that a manufacturer has applied.
Power washers are a huge no no on any of my vehicles. Fine for a patio, but unless you use an attachment and some form of foam, they shouldn’t go near a vehicle. Personally I wouldn’t use them either.
Pressure wash a wheel and the force of the water can easily overcome a seal and introduce water, grit and contamination into a space were it doesn’t belong. Same on the engine, doors, bonnets etc.
Warm waxy water that then runs down these drain offs and seeps it’s way between doors, bonnets etc, is much better than the water under pressure.
Each to their own, but I do wonder if these dealers that are blasting these motorhomes not ask why they’re sometimes returned with levels of damp???
