Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We had just enough cloud to cover the sun , to be able to see the eclipse . Although we were told not to look up at it.
Which is good because the colander shadow on paper and hole in the card were blooming useless !

Great view in Angus - I found my viewing glasses that I bought in 1999 to use in Cornwall - they were still in the wrapper! Glad to have made good use of that £1.99! Had to keep wrenching them off the school kids to see it!

Cloudy but still got a resonable view at cairnryan.
One of the local authority workmen was watching it through 3 pairs sunglasses haha. Should have photographed him lol.

Clear sky in South Wales, but my hastily arranged binoculars-tripod-table arrangement and hand-held camera/card set-up resulted in the picture when the sun was most covered coming out all blurred :(

So this one's from about 10 minutes earlier...

...oh no, that looks like that stupid robot in the "Short Circuit" movies

We've had clear skies ☀️most of the week which is the first for a long time here on mull. But the weather gods thought we'd had to much of a good thing and gave us low cloud and rain ☔️this morning so didn't see a thing.
But we have been treated the last 3 nights with the northern lights which is special

Mate who works at The Island Bakery on Mull sent me these two photos from today....

We love the Mull biscuits. The weather certainly taunts us, cloud yesterday but almost clear blue sky this morning.
What part of the island are you on? We're coming up in 10 days and have fingers crossed for blue skies during the day and stunning auroras at night; hope that is not too much to ask for ....

My Missus went upstairs to view it, thought she would be a bit closer and get a better view(n)

On and off for many years.
Clear skies here and a brilliant show (Scottish Borders). The cockerel went to bed and shouted for the ladies to join him - they just went and sat under the fruit bushes..... Our neighbours were on their way to The Lakes and didn't even notice it.

We are close to the ferry at Craignure

Lovely area. We're aiming to cross to Fishnish, get some mussels at Loch Spelve and cook them on the beach at Urskin or Calgory bay. Do you know what the coastline is like South of Calgory?

Great wild camping at Calgary bay and great drive from there South towards Ulva ferry but other than passing places hardly any places to stop and wild camp.
Some of our favourite spots for staying overnight are along the south side of Loch Na Keal, plenty of level grass areas along side the loch. Great spot for otters/seals and white tail sea eagles. Not sure when it starts this season but there's a food van just close to the bottom of the loch which sells great food much of which is sourced on the island.

Yes I looked straight at the sun without glasses or anything and guess what I am not blind or even slightly compromised. The reason was that there was so much cloud I couldn't even see the bloody thing, it got duller then went back to dull. Typical.

Th cheapest route is to take the council ferry to Corran and then the CalMac ferry to Fishnish (apparently). Mull is lovely and well worth a visit. We will try Loch Na Keal.
