How Did You Choose Your Username ?

    Mine's been my nickname since I was 19 and use it on many forums.

    But I'm always interested where folk get theirs from.




    Suppose, I'd better explain mine...

    Every Friday we used to ride the bikes to our local, The Paraffin Arms in Bradford, for just the one pint, coz we we'd rather save for a new bike, rather than piss it up against the wall.

    One Friday, I went in pub as usual, to be told it was a birthday and we were all off down town. So I put my GT750 in the beer garden and my biking gear behind the bar for safe keeping.

    Roll on Saturday afternoon when I went in for my gear. The lid was a white Kangol full face

    The landlord brought it out on a silver tray into the middle of the pub. He'd wrote on it "Alas poor Yorick" as it sort of resembled a skull.

    And it sort of stuck ;)

    Charlie because he's 1/2 Cavalier.
    Minton because sometimes he's a bad Minton.

    We never noticed, Helen........

    Mine came from the name of my first boat, which was named after a not very good rock group. I later came across their drummer on another forum........:blush:

    I inherited our motorhome from my sister Sandra who sadly passed away just over 2 years ago. SOS stands for Spirit of Sandra as I feel her with me whenever we are off on our jollies x

    I was a chartered accountant. People used the abacus to count before calculators and in history. An Abacist is someone who uses an abacus!
