Arrived here today. The campsite is in the throws of a long overdue refurbishment. Unless you are into building site camping it is best avoided for the present. Hopefully it will be completed by next season.

That was the first ACSI site we ever stayed on in a MH. It was overdue for an overhaul then, 2014.
Saving grace is that the service bus for town turns round in the hotel entrance.

Try one of the many bars & restaurants in the Plaza Major...... Great for people watching!!!

Has been a poor site for many years, but bearable as a stopover north/south. Good bus service to the gate. As previously stated the Plaza Mayor is a great place to spend the evening.

We stayed there for three nights last year and, although we didn’t use any of the loos or showers, it was all a bit scruffy.
With the good bus service it was a great place for getting into the city though.

Richard.

This is our fifth or maybe sixth visit / overnight. As has been said it is great for the bus etc, but we took one look this time and checked into the hotel for the night.

Stayed there for a couple of nights last September and quite cheep and scruffy but I’ve seen worse and payed more...

Best bit is the bus service for Salamanca and a short walk out of the site to shops and restaurants....

The hotel it self is nice for the bar and restaurant and posh loos...

Salamanca is a must do and I’ll get back to it again..(y)

We love the town and its always worth spending a day or so there.

I was on Regio one day and met a Brit in reception when paying. We were leaving and he said he was stopping another day and was on his way into town. Regio was totally empty apart from us and while dumping our tanks I wondered where this Brit was parked. I eventually saw his little panel van tucked away and thought I'd leave him a motorhomefun flyer.

While my 60 gallon tanks emptied I wandered over but he had silver screens on so there was no wiper blade to place the flyer under. If I left it on the step it would blow away, so I looked for a stone to weigh it down., anyone whose been there knows there are large stones all over the place. I picked up this house brick sized stone and was a yard from his step when the door swung violently open, and this guy screamed at me to F off.

It was one of those times when in all innocence, you realise how guilty you look and your bluster just convinces them even more that you are guilty . The more I tried to explain the guiltier I sounded. He told me he didn't want the flyer and to this day I'm sure he thinks he was fortunate to not go straight into town as he had caught me breaking into his van. :D

Gas is the way to go Jim.....(y)

Its true the camp site is scruffy BUT for what its worth the hotel house red was an outstanding Ribera del Duero......delicious.....

The Tincas

Nice pool but...
Service in the restaurant is appalling - we had plates of food literally thrown down on the table. And when we complained at reception they were disinterested. Much better sites in Salamanca, however convenient the bus service is.
