If the boiler is full of water, the cover removed outside, the gas is on at the bottle (and any manifold) and you have 12v power at the boiler.

Turn the switch from the center to either position, at this stage nothing will light up, but the boiler should start to heat up, if there is a fault (gas, ignition or vent) the red light marked ‘a’ will illuminate.

The water will take a good while to heat up and even when heated can take a good few seconds to actually reach your tap from the boiler.

No red light on the control. You've given us loads of suggestions to try this morning,thanks so much. Making a start now in this order;

Check gas full flow from hob
Test other 12v things working
Test switch for power
Change 1.6a glass fuse
Buy watering can to create shower
Matches and petrol hahahaha

In your picture below of your van control panel, from the left you have the first light illuminated (control panel power?). The middle light OFF (Habitation power?) and the third illuminated (water pump?)

Have you tried your water heater with this middle switch also turned on? This could be where the 12v to the water heater is fed from.

My control panel shows a similar bulb for the habitation area, which I thought was for the lights, but it’s actually for all the 12v supplies in the habitation area.

EDIT....the middle switch appears to be for the external light 😢

Glad you have sorted the boiler!

Have you sorted the blown air yet? If not, post a pic of the controls, usually on the top of the heater.

Nope blown air not working. That wood was yhere when we bought it. The fire works but not hot air blows out of those vents

Is the fan on the fire 12v or 240v

I believe that most are 12v, but some models have a separate 240v transformer to power the fan, if this is the case a mains hook up would be required for the blown part of the heating to work.

Other than Trumatic on the front, s there any sign of a model number anywhere? Maybe on a data plate under the cover.

That wood does look very close by the way.....😱

The installation instructions will give details of the clearance required, if you can find the model number.

OK. The control on the left is for the fire; the one on the left is for the blown air. The numbers on it are for the speed of the fan. The fan should run with or without the fire being on. Make sure the 12v system is on. With the fire off, turn the fan control to the highest number. Cold air should blow out of the vents. If it doesn’t, check the tubing from the back of the fire to the vents, they may have become detached. If it does work, light the fire and check if warm air is coming out. If the weather is warm, you may need to have the fire on a high setting.

The fan only setting can be quite useful in hot weather as it blows cold air round the van. When you get the fan working, you will notice that less heat comes directly from the fire.

The A on the fan control is for the automatic setting. This turns the fan speed up and down to maintain temperature.

Whoops! Should be the one on the right is the fan control! That is the one on the right as you are looking at it.
Defo need to strip it down and take a closer look BUT we are leaving at midnight to go to poland in it. Maybe crazy but we have cabin fever and deserve a wee break. Hoping not to need the heating anyway on this trip.

Hope you don’t need the heating but you might need the “air conditioning”. Have a good trip. We are off Saturday to CMC site about 1/2 hour away. Hoping to go to Slovenia in September.

Don’t worry, heating or no heating, hot water or no hot water, you can always boil a kettle and go to bed early!
It’s still better than a tent !
Have a great time.

Also there should be a slider control which opens and closes the vents.

We found that having the fire on 500w was more than adequate.

Cheers James
