2003 fiat 2.8
The horn stopped working, took old one off put power to it, dead
Anyway bought a new one, they have twin terminals so before fitting put
power across from a spare battery all working OK.
So fitted it, put the live to it first then the neg spade on, but horn sounded
as soon as I touched it
Put power across to other side still sounded soon as attached
Any clues please

Horn Problems

The horn button will connect / disconnect the positive supply or the earth supply to the horn. (assuming negative earth)
If you check with a meter, one of the wires to the horn should be "dead" except when the horn button is pressed. Often there is a relay in the circuit - could be that this is also faulty.
