Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Yes. My boss wont set off on 'moving day' without a full and comprehensive Hoovering of the entire van........Even the dog.

Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
We have a Black & Decker - it's good.

Day to day we do use a dustpan and brush but every so often (couple of weeks or shorter - depends on how windy/sandy/dusty out etc etc) give everywhere a good vac.

My sister came down on a visit raving about a battery powered carpet sweeper.
Of course Woman HAD to have one..
Must admit it did work well.
Within a month Woman had bought a second one for the motorhome
It is light, does a very good job and the rechargeable battery lasts very well indeed
I left the charger at home ( don't ask !! ) on the last month long trip around Europe, and it was good enough to do the van from end to end several times a week for the whole trip

We've got a Henrietta she comes in once a week for 2 hours. I haven't been brave enough yet to mention leave one of the bedrooms and do the motorhome instead. May buy her a ladder for Christmas so she can polish my solar panel

I asked this question a couple of years ago and ended up buying a mains dustbuster type vac. It sits in a drop down flap under the fridge and has never been out since the day we bought it. I tell a lie, I did wriggle it out a month ago to see what it looked like.

I know we are not supposed to correct grammar in but I think it's needed for this time...........

"and SHE was good enough to do the van from end to end"

Woman is a star.

Ditto, pity it only lasts 6 mins per charge, though. Still long enough (just) to clean up.
Cheers, Dave(n)

Since 2007. But no more.
Well, having worked for Hoover for some 15 years, a Hoover is a Hoover and the rest are just vacuum cleaners.

There were many who called me out to fix their "Hoover", under warranty, which turned out to be an a.n.other vacuum cleaner and it cost them £30. call out and no fix.

Some people are, well, just too thick for their own good.

Earned me £10. a throw so I didn't complain.

Snap, but we have a sprollie that sheds something terrible.

Ours runs for about 15 minutes (one or two less if using the "animal" brush).

Great for the stairs at home and goes away with us in motorhome.

Don't know how long it lasts per charge, always seems enough and always used on Max power. We can certainly do the stairs at home on max with the powered brush.:xsmile:
