Is 16amp wire strong enough for the mains hook up cable, I have 25amp cable but it is almost rigid and very awkward to wind up. thanks for you assistance in anticipation. tony

You need 2.5mm x 3 core., preferably in orange (not compulsory) or better still, Arctic blue which remains pliable in sub zero temperatures..

According to electrical regs, the maximum length is 25mts ..

Thanks for the tip about the Arctic cable (comes in blue or yellow)- now changed my orange cable to blue so looking forward to less time fighting the cable when packing up. T L Carr Electricals rate the 2.5mm as 25amp and the 1.5mm as 16amp, but went for the 2.5mm as it was the same as I was replacing.
