This generator is in excellent condition,very little used.It has recently been serviced.These are very quiet when in use.Bargain at £450.Will now sell for £350 .This is a bargain.

Apologies for my ignorance but it is possible to plug the van straight into the generator meaning the need for electrical hook up is not necessary, or would this be only suitable for running individual appliances?

You can plug this straight into your van and use it just the same as hook up, but no more than 1kw, but slightly noisier.
