Valkenberg is the only place we've camped. Had to, it's got a hill. Real tourist trap.

The rest, well it's flat and wet.

Amsterdam is proper thriving olde city.

We are looking at camping Zeeburg, near Amsterdam, in a couple of weeks. Probably stopping at a couple of aires in France on the way and back.

Get yourselves down to the most southerly province in the Netherlands - Limburg - undulating countryside, nice places to stay, different culture, and a bit off the normal tourist track.

3 1/2 to 4 hours. Depends how heavy your right foot is ( that's why I am but allowed to drive abroad..the mpg goes down too much if I drive!!!) we like to split it and enjoy the countryside.
