Hi, my wife and me stayed at Delft hout last year which is a campsite but also has a stopover at the entrance, we will be going back. Right next to a park and only 10minutes walk to the centre of Delft which is lovely and has everything you could need. Good transport links for the area and great for cycling too.

Three years and counting, 30 years a tent tower.
Amsterdam there is a secure MH campsite here
http://www.amsterdamcitycamp.nl
Its a short walk and a free ferry ride straight into the centre. Check in is automated and you cannot book, but we havent had a problem getting in

The Camper Contact app is great for finding MH stops/sites

Just left Delftse Hout. Great little site next to lovely park and loads of off road smooth cycle tracks. 10min walk into the centre of Delft and a No1 Tram will take you to The Hague and the beaches of Scheveningen. Day tickets for trams and buses available from reception. If you are visiting here check that you use the correct access route (not the low bridge under the motorway). Worth checking out some Dutch roads signs (the word for "except" for example). In Holland the bike is king, the car second and a pedestrian considered to be a fair target for both!

Delft is a bit like a mini Amsterdam but without the red light district, coffee houses and stag parties!

Good train station in Delft with links to Amsterdam and beyond, but rail fares seemed quite expensive to us.

I agree, train services are excellent but prices have really shot up in the last few years....
Scheveningen is a pleasant beach, as is Wassenaarseslag and Noordwijk aan Zee, which is also only a few km from Lisse and Keukenhof

Just got back from a week in Holland, all good just watch out for the cycle path's , when you turn into a road a lot of them have right of way. Mopeds and bicycle's can use them .Nearly got caught out by a moped on the cycle path. They don't use helmets and they don't slow down.

Gouda cheese market is very good just get to the sire the day before.

Amsterdam city aire is also very good but very busy.

If going to the tulips you can park for free right next to the tulip fields and cycle round.

The main tulip/bulb display is at Keukenhof and is only open for about 7 weeks but April should be OK, the city motorhome is great for Amsterdam but you would b better moving closer if you want to do Keukenhof IMO.

Thank you, it may be worth staying at the city park to see Amsterdam then move closer for Keukenhof, do you need to book in for Keukenhof or just turn up.

For the bulb show you just turn up, camping places tend to get busy because of the show, we stopped here http://www.camperplaatshetgroenehart.nl and then it was about 6 or 7 miles in by bike, you could park a camper at Keukenhof if you wished.
