The catches on our van simply dont hold in anything more than a light breeze, causing doors to slam shut - not a good idea if the insect screen is in place, or if you are sitting in the garage floor with feet outside! 🤕

i tried the rubber suction handles as used by glaziers but found they marked the side panels leaving a ring that was difficult to remove.

looking for alternatives and came across this. Anyone used them or other alternatives?

Its a long stretch to wing mirror but possible.

We have a piece of string that’s fixed inside a locker near the door , open locker get string, close locker and we tie that to the door handle

I use a bungee with plastic hooks from door handle to front wheel.

Use a tent peg with bungee where possible

I wouldn't be spending £25 on something similar you can pick up in the woods on your next travels, a cleft stick!;)

I've got an adjustable tent guy rope from the door that loops over the drivers mirror.

Never done \ tried it but would "Sikaflexing" one of these to the door and vehicle side work?
It's a magnet and could, potentially, match in with door handle?

Depending on the catches on your door, drilling a hole and using a wire link would work.
Bulked up the catch like that on our gas locker with a blob of Araldite.(y)

If you didn't want to drill a hole, would a glass sucker thingy work to attach a hook of some sort to?

I used to use bungee straps until one windy day the strap broke and the subsequent recoil of the hook dinted the side of the van. looked like we had been shot at 😂😂. I now use a webbing strap. I don’t use bungees anywhere on the van now. Note this is my experience and I know many owners successfully use bungees.

On our old MH we used a thick bungee (with plastic hooks) from the internal door handle to the cab door handle.

Our new MH has a door holder already fitted that looks like this:

But we haven't had chance to test it out yet so I've no idea if its any good.
If it doesn't work then because we don't have a cab door on the new MH we're going to use a heavy duty suction cup on the body work with the bungee instead:

The trouble is with a bungee if it lets go the hook end is like a bullet and could remove your eye in a split second, ask me how I know !

You need to keep an eye out for that sort of thing !🥴

Our Burstner has door 4x holders like those in the picture from Danger Mousy. All of them are great when there isn’t a breath of wind but even the lightest breeze and the door they are holding pulls out of the holder. Does anyone have any tips on how to get these to work better.

I don't know how big they are but could you drill a hole through both pieces and then slot a 'pin' of some sort through so that it can't pull apart?
