If we are on our own then yes, but family new year arrangements can change very quickly.

Whats happening there?
We're staying on the campsite CCC . We've actually got hook up , which is a rareity !
In Moffat people generally start to appear in the various hotels and bars around the High Street about 10.00pm in preparation for the 'bells' at midnight. As the time approaches about five hundred to a thousand people gather in the high street. The atmosphere is always very good humoured. There is a piper/pipers in the square as well as fireworks to welcome the New Year. The celebrations and first footing continue well into the early hours and beyond.
We're booked into Brodies With lots of locals for a meal , Till 10.pm then it's all over to the hall for some Scottish Dancing, a band, then fireworks and bringing in the new year then back to the bar. Its a posh frock and suit do. If your Scottish an excuse to wear a kilt! There's only us and another couple who aren't local. But we've been assured we'll be made welcome. Looking forward to it.

Sounds fab. Pity, we aren't ccc members and don't think we would use it much to join just for 1 night. Sounds right up my street too. Hope you enjoy .

We rarely go on the sites. Not really our thing.
We use the membership for the local district association rally's , temp holiday sites , CL 's. You soon get your money's worth.
We're stopping off at TanHill Inn on the way up for a night too. Looking forward to that too.
I'm sure they'll have space on the CCC site. It's in the village. You could Enjoy the village NYE atmosphere go in the local pubs. You may not get into any restaurants now though for a meal. But you never know. We've been booked in since June.

On and off for many years.
Don't think you have to be a member to stay on club sites Sandra, it's cheaper of you are.

Sounds temping but too soon to say yet. Last year we ended up with a couple of funster vans on our drive.
