I'm Ann. Having left life on a narrowboat behind for a move to dry land about 14 years ago, I decided I still felt the need to travel so bought a converted high top transit. These days I have a Compass Navigator and I'm going it alone since the split from my partner last year.

So I already know I have one hobby in common with you all here, I'm also keen on wildlife photography, pets and consuming the occasional pint of cider.

Hi Ann welcome. We too are new and still finding our way around. Loads to read and learn. Seem to have been on this site every spare minute since we joined. We think it is brilliant.

Hi Ann, welcome aboard lol

You will soon find your way round and the advice you get on here is invaluable.

We have been on board our yacht for 5 years and now find our weekends filled with motorhome adventures instead of sailing.

I am courious about narrowboats and wonder what made you live aboard and also what made you leave it and move on?

I think a narrowboat and a motorhome would be the best of both worlds,

Dream on eh,

Andy

Wow thank you, that's quite some welcome.

AndyPandy, in answer to your question my fella (at the time) and I had a small narrowboat when I was in my twenties and when our relationship ended, house prices were high and living on a narrowboat seemed the obvious choice. Ten years later it was just time to move on and do something different.
