Any good deals around at the minute, it's my birthday soon and she is treating me to a new pair
Not mega expensive, I like the Altberg ones and the factory is near us at Richmond but they are expensive.
Any decent makes around the £100 or less Mark?

I have these, a little bit above the £100 at £126 in Go Outdoors but very comfortable and light and no wet feet so far! I've had several Salomon's throughout the years and they last for yonks!

I had bad experience with Scarpa Cyrus boots where the sole wore down really quickly.
Go outdoors have a sale on now and I picked up a leaflet in-store today about an extra 10% discount for all of September

Just bought some boots at Milletts. Club discount of 10% min was easily obtained with club discount. I offered National Trust or C&CC. Did not show membership , sales man didnt bat an eyelid so I assume normal but you have to ask.
I bought Berghaus but from a comfort point of view after trying many boots.

I have Altberg boots, they are really well made and there are lots of sizes and widths so you should find something to fit. No point in saving a few quid on something less good when you live so close. The code ALT75 should get you a discount.

Boots are so individual, the recommendation has to be ... ones that fit.
Everyone elses pointers to brands is only relevant to their feet, not yours.

Altberg for me too. Great comfortable boots, but more than the 100 op wanted to spend.

I have see a possible pair online Berghaus hill master 2 at £110, so almost within budget, they have size 13 in stock as well

Many thanks to all for the recommendations.

If you are a size 13, I would work out which ones fit you then go to one of the discounters that sell off old Hagrid stock Gaynors

Although personally as you're local I'd bite the bullet and spend a bit more on Altberg- any problems on fit and they'll sort it for you. Think of it as ten plus years investment - £15 per year.

Meindl are a very good boot, expensive but you get what you pay for.

If you have a Go Outdoors near you they have a few boots on sale at the moment. I tend to go for the canvas ones these days rather than leather.

Another for Meindl sale here atm Broken Link Removed
