Hi got a lunar h622 hiki Perspex top cracked going to buy a new one do you need to have forced ventilation unit or not forced?

Non forced otherwise you get whistling...forced are for caravans I believe. Or is it the other way around ☹️

If you have a gas cooker then you need a certain amount of “high-level” ventilation. Gaining this via the roof lights is an easy option but does result in some “whistling” dependent on the roof profile and where on the roof it is fitted. Do you have another source of ventilation?

In my view, the type of vehicle (caravan/Motorhome) does not really come into it.

When I built mine, I pondered the same question. I have 3 roof lights, and decided to get one that was vented for peace of mind. It's a mini Heki, no whistling.

I believe that the only difference between vented and unvented, is a gasket, but I don't know where it is.

I agree with Nostrovia just a foam rubber gasket that is in the channel that the inner skin closes into. At least that what I think.

yes, the only difference is the foam rubber gasket, we have two of these rooflights, one in hab is sealed, in bedroom is 'open'
