hi looking to visit a friend in Cumbernauld and visit the highlands for a few days

Would love quiet yet safe for a solo MH if you can offer advice

No pets aboard but friend might visit with hers

Trossachs may be your best bet ... can be quite busy though

i would avoid the use of the camping permit areas around loch Lomond, we tried it last year.... disaster.

the A82 along the loch edge is IMHO a bit of pain particularly at weekends, with motor bike packs a plenty.

just a bit further north than Lomond is Loch Earn where there is a pleasant lochside CL type site.
