I have been searching for these bolt in tyre valve of the same type the comes as standard on the majority of Ducato motorhomes.

Until now i have only ever changed the cores when necessary. now i need a replacement valve for a new steel rim.

Unfortunately i have not been able to come up with the exact same type. Some research on tinterweb suggests that although they are standard fit they are not available aftermarket.

I have found similar on fleabay and although they are advertised as suitable for Ducato motorhome they are not quite the same length, which may be an issue with the wheel trims in place.

what have others done when needing a new valve fitting.

Iveco dealers distribute Fiat vans, I’d contact your local Iveco centre

I have spoken to both Fiat professional / Iveco and they offer a different type of rubber stem high pressure valve and said that would be fine.
which it may well be , except i would like to get hold of ( if I can ) the same as the van is supplied with.

I’ll speak to Iveco / Fiat parts in the morning, I’m a fleet operator and know the man well, I doubt I’ll do any better than you but it’s worth a call

thanks.

apparently they are Schrader 65765-68 valves.

Not intending to divert this thread but I'm interested in how you'd fit these valves to an existing tyre?

You can take tyre off one side of rim or right off your choice

Hi Phil,

Sorry to be slow, but there’s been some issues I had to deal with and our Iveco dealer has been doing some digging, long and short story they don’t have any valves on the system, and ALL tyre issues are farmed out.

However the guy at Loughrans in Towcester, who are a Landrover specialist and tyre depot http://www.towcestertyres.co.uk/ knew exactly what these were and can source them

When we get back to normal try your local tyre companies that cover LGV & HGV.

dont appear to be used for commercial LGV , they seem to use high pressure pull in valves as they go through tyres considerably quicker than the majority of motorhomes, typically a years motoring. These valves seem to motorhome specific, they are fitted as standard to most motorhomes, why that is! I have found that there have been many a motorhome owner searching for these valves after market but as yet I have not found anyone who has sourced them.
the common practice being to just change the inner.

but i need a valve. there are alternatives but they are all slightly different.

I will try Boris7 suggestion of http://www.towcestertyres.co.uk/ and see how i get on.
