Hi folks, got an advisory on last MOT that leds out in led strip.

Presuming I can get it out any ideas of where to source a suitable replacement. (I thought leds would outlast the vehicle !)

Thanks for any pointers . . .

Be aware there's a good chance its leaking too . I've had that issue on 2 previous vans and that's Normally why the led bulbs go out. Check what brand it is "hella" for example then do an ebay or Google search for hella led brake light. See what comes up.

I removed the one completely from my hymer. If its not there it's not an mot fail.

Many thanks folks, great help, really appreciated. Narrowed it down to 2 options. Messy getting it off. Little length of wire to play with. Will no doubt be messy trying to rebed. Certainly not a well sealed unit, even with sealer applied to it. Looks like an ongoing problem that will be inevitable for most, if not all, of us.

My 2020 van has lost several LEDs in the strip. I can see condensation in it, so I assume it'll also be water ingress.

The integrated reversing camera is also glitchy... because it gets water inside.

It really shouldn't be that hard to make these things watertight!
