Hi all,

I was a member a while back when I first bought our motorhome, but have not visited in some time. I am back because we are going on our first-euro road trip this summer. 'We' being my wife, 5 year old daughter and 18 month old son.

We are heading to portugal, via france and spain, and then back again, over 4 weeks. I will probably start a few threads if i can't find the answers I am looking for, but if you have any random tips then feel free to leave them here.

cheers,

tom

Random tip #1
Buy the beer and wine when you get to France.

Welcome back.
I think you said on another thread that you have some sites booked ahead so if I had to make one recommendation, bearing in mind you'll be travelling with youngsters, is for those nights where you don't have a booking, always have a Plan B. It's not a bad idea to have one for the nights you have booked too. Costs nothing and can be a life saver if your chosen destination for the night turns out to be closed/full/flooded/naff/a fairground/boy racers track/or just plain 'orrible.

Welcome back. Don't know if you have a SatNav but if you do it's worth checking the SatNav route against a tourist map. We've found lots of extra places to see/visit when we do that.
