Hi and welcome, I don't know if there is an actual difference I always think a Motorhome is purpose built body where a campervan is a van that has been converted. That's just me others may think totally different

Hello and welcome, don't really know the difference either, but as some sites and rallies charge less for camper vans than motor homes I am guessing size mainly :)

Hi and welcome to the fun. I'd say a panel van fitted out for camping is a campervan and larger coachbuilt are motorhomes, not to be confused with RV which generally applies to much larger American motorhomes in this country. In the USA they ar all RV's (recreational vehicles) apart from converted panel vans that are called "Day vans"

Welcome! I guess you are now at the stage of planning to buy a campervanmotorhomefifthwheelerRVthingy? Lots of discussions on the pros and cons of the various types on this Forum. Many will say layout should be your first consideration but I also think you need to consider how you plan to use it. As recent tugger converts you are probably used to putting the caravan in one place and then zooming off in the car to visit places. This isn't so easy in a MH and a small number tow a small car for local trips - which always strikes me as suggesting they should have bought a caravan instead, but the owners of such rigs would go to their death beds denying this!

It's a broad church here and some strongly held opinions, which if they agree with mine are correct!:):):)

Hi Toby and welcome to the FUN :)

I always thought the difference was due to the shower/toilet facilities?? As in a camper van doesn't have them and a motorhome does, so more likely to be lived in (as you do a home)…..If that makes sense?! :Eeek::giggler:
