hello to all,
newbie rv owner here.
story goes, 2 years ago i bought an american dayvan and being my first yank i thought i would join a club. the club The American Vehicle Owners Club runs and attends many events so i duly went and bought a caravan . first meet turned up and seen a few rv,s and thought wow.
wanted one but could,nt afford one.
then after a few months one of the members bought himself a modern rv and i got myself a bargain priced 1984 fleetwood pace arrow 6.2 diesel 30 footer for half the priced of an old ford transit. gave him a nickname, its wheezie. well, he an old non turbo oil burner so it seems apt.
it did have some damp and a leaky roof , but the mechanicals were good. the roof has been sorted, the damp panels have all been replaced. the whole interior has had a facelift and things are looking good for the seasons ahead.
am looking forward to attending many yank car shows/events in the years to come
hope 2009 brings a long hot dry summer.
looking forward to bumping into you all.
