Hi

New to the forum and motorhomes. Just bought a 15 year old Hymer 584, doing it up over the winter as it is FILTHY so cleaning it to within an inch of its life while hubster does the mechanical stuff. Two kids 16 and 18 so looking forward to going away by ourselves (it only sleeps 3)

Curtains washed, cushions and upholstery all cleaned so well on the way.

Our first major trip is likely to be February half term (WITHOUT THE KIDS!!)

Off to put a question on the Hymer thread about the internal doors which weirdly are yello and we can't find how to clean them. Any suggestions, feel free to add a response :)

Welcome, unfortunately "yellow" doors in hymers is fairly common, something to do with the plastic decaying over time, not a lot you can do , so just ignore it and enjoy your new toy.
Cheers, Dave(y)

Oh! Ah well, saves the elbow grease I guess! As long as we know they are clean, even if they don't look it!

Can't wait to have it ready and try out a trip. We hired one the summer before last with the kids so at least we have some idea of what it will be like!
