Hi Bill, and welcome... (y)

My first port of call would be to check fuses and wriggle a few wires...

Sounds a simple fix,,,, but got to find out why first..

Good luck..

not a simple fix sorry. the body control ecu is detecting a higher current drawn than expected so switches off the circuit to protect it. often turns out to be a corroded connector on the wiring loom. the only answer is a proper auto electrician or many hours trial an error under the van

Hi and welcome..

it sounds like an earth fault to me.. I would check the nearside rear light cluster first , you may find it is wet and or corroded.. and simply needs cleaning drying out .. a sign that it may be suspect is moisture on the inside of the lens.

if that is ok, the next suspect is under the rear of the van.. convertors extend the existing loom, look for a square joint box, same procedure.. look inside for dampness and dry out and repair renew any suspect connectors..

If that is OK look at the front light .. unlikely but not impossible for it to get wet due to a cracked lens..

If still no luck you may need to consult an auto electrician

Welcome to the forum. I know Ambergate well. My Brother and my dad live up the road at Matlock, and Darley Dale. My last home there was Watnall. Lovely part of the country.
