Greetings funsters,
I've been browsing the site for a few years now and the information about all aspects of mo-ho life from purchase to upkeep have been friendly and very informative. Bought a Hymer 562 Silverline a couple of years ago and named her Earwig. (earwig 0 earwig 0 earwig 0). We've had such a lot of fun including a 6 week tour of Ireland since then. The lockdown will hopefully be over soon and I'm sure we're all itching to get back out there.
Now the question. An emergency stop behind a prat on a tractor with no brake lights meant the shower door flew open and broke one of the hanging brackets on the sliding door. That was in July. Our local caravan/motorhome service providers have been trying to source a new bracket for us. They are very good usually and obviously delivery is tricky at the moment, but I wondered if any of the Funster community could help. Where is the go to place for Hymer spares in U.K. ? Are the hanging brackets on the sliding doors all different or is there an alternative? Thanks for being patient with a newbie to motorhoming and to posting on the new fangled interweb thingy.

Hi and another big w2f from a fellow Hymer owner.
Sadly living in PT not familiar with U.K. sores supplier but often hear Travelworld mentioned.
Enjoy your van and hope you get the bits you need.

Hi, welcome to the forum, mig be worth posting a picture of the bracket. A lot of interior trim parts are pretty common so someone may recognise an alternative.
Will keep an eye out for you were just down the road from you

welcome - love the name Earwig !! We sourced a whole tambour door from Lowdhams- they have a stock of Hymer parts apparently from when they were Hymer dealers ; and they were MUCH MUCH cheaper than Travelworld. Good luck with the mend

Welcome,

Can I just ask a question, when you say Rugby, are you maybe near Rugby?

Only asking because our MH is at the MILā€™s and thereā€™s a Hymer 562 Silverline around the corner, in a village near Dunchurch

Hi Boris 7. I'm in Rugby town not in a village near Dunchurch. Intrigued about the other Silverline because there are not many of us about. Incidentally as a newbie I don't understand MIL's.

OK just a coincidence, but it seemed likely.
