Hello everybody, just joined this group, I have had camper vans/motorhomes since 1990, started with the VW type 2 ,then t25 followed by a Symbol, Tracker and now a Autocruise Rhythm, we average 70-80 nights away mostly in this country. We still go away with quite a few friends we met through the T2owners club. Best hobby ever.

...and from Bedfordshire.
After many years in an alien forum, I finally mended my ways and found a better way and here I am with no regrets.

I agree the Baltic wharf site is in an excellent position used by some of our friends visiting the city but is again under threat by our wonderful council, selling it off for a short term gain, could close next year.

Welcome to the forum, rhythm with blues! are you a sexual depressive or a musical wanderer?:D
Baltic Wharfe!! My daughter lives in Bristol, in 15 years we've managed to be able to book that site twice, but if you ring on the day they invariably have a cancellation or two, absolutely useless from a planning point of view, I have been looking for a suitable plot for years to open my own camp site, can't be arsed now though, just go in the car! There was a "farm" not far away (Colliters Brook I think) but I believe that's closed now, you know of anywhere? Oh and have fun, sorry for the little rant!! Welcome, welcome welcome(y)

Hello and welcome to the Fun!

We stay at Baltic Wharf quite often and are following it's future closely. I thought CC had a new 5 year lease on the site after the pressure we all put on the council?

As far as I am aware it was 3 years from 2015, the club has been looking at alternative sites nearby but have been refused planning by the council. Fingers crossed they don't do anything like the rest of their plans i.e. The Arena, can't see that happening in my lifetime.

I was going to say from another a Bristolian, but although I have lived here since 1967 I don't call myself that !
Also a VW camper van fan but now enjoying the extra space of a Ducato.

from a couple of Bristolians who decamped to Saltford - which for those who are old enough to remember FAB 208 (and I'm thinking that's 90% of this wonderful site) is right next to K E Y N S H A M ! (y)
