So that's the type of humour I'm to expect is it ?

He was born in Yorkshire but we still love him.
Aha! So you knew it was humour then? That’s probably a good thing.
Well,it was meant to be partly humour,but also a question/thought,bearing in mind the number of sheep in Scotland,and of course Wales,it is a little surprising there is not a Scottish and Welsh equivalent of the Old English. But perhaps there is and I am not familiar with it.
Maybe the Border is Scottish in origin,I don’t know.
