Hi there.

We live in Central Scotland and we are thinking about buying a campervan so we will be browsing for hints and tips.

Our current thinking is we are looking for something we can tour Europe for a few months at a time over summer. We probably won't be staying in the van all the time (mixing in Air B&B or hotel nights) and probably not much "wild camping". Might not even need a kitchen & sink etc as we might just take a camping stove etc. A toilet and shower arrangement is probably more useful than a kitchen (no idea what the options are !)

Has to be good to drive and not big so single-track roads and small towns & villages etc. aren't an issue.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

No need for wild camping in Europe - loads of free aire de camping cars.
It sound like a Van conversion would do you rather than a motorhome.

Agree with Stealawy, PCV would seem to fit your needs, although if you need a shower/loo then you're going to need to be a bit more selective. Best advice is to have a look around - appreciate you probably don't have too many dealers around you, but there's plenty advertised on t'internet. Then if you see something you fancy, come back on here for opinions.

But my best advice would be to subscribe, the best £15 you'll ever spend motorhoming, which gives you unlimited posts (currently only 5) and access to loads of info including Jim's excellent book, Buying a Motorhome, free to members (but you can order it at a cost).

So it only remains for me to say :welcome4: to the madhouse and good luck in your search.
