Hi
Looking to go down to south west france this year in August, want to book sites in advance as it is peak time, we are in tandem with another motorhome.

Looking for sites that are walking distance from beach and town centre, may be a long ask, but any recomendations

Can't give you any specific leads but you are correct to book for August in France as it gets so busy. After years of visiting France we now clear off home in early July just before the prices go up. Have a nice trip!

There must be hundreds of sites along the coast with direct beach access.
All will be expensive (relatively), many will be fully booked already, many also require minimum 7-10 night stay.
We have researched and visited the area extensively in July / August but for all of the above reasons we choose not to use them (I know, not much use to you!)
My advice - get researching, it's already quite late in the year to be booking.
https://www.yellohvillage.co.uk/ https://en.flowercampings.com/ and Google maps, will offer many possibilities.
