Converted van
Greetings to one & all. Had our 1st campervan written off through malicious damage (T4), we have just managed to obtain a 53 plate Renault Trafic....there are some crazy prices out there!

In a past life it was converted for disability use (wheelchair lift & securing points, lift now removed). Last owner then used it for taking motorcycles to race meetings (husband & wife both raced). So there are fibreglass panels, plywood ceiling & floor all covered with carpet. Electric hook up installed with a couple of 3 pin outlets at the back, windows all round, but don't think there is any insulaion installed. Haven't decided whether to convert this one or just spend a couple of years using it with Cobb & camping stove, air beds & awning & look for a proper converted van in a couple of years........mind you, if the world doesn't get back to normal it won't matter what we do!!

Having only managed to do a few weekends in a 4 years of van ownership we are still complete newbs. Doesn't help that I have to work a lot of weekends (bus driver) so between that & Covid.........

Look forward to picking brains & contributing what I can (y)
