I grew up in a small Scottish town called Blairgowrie and our friend was a goalie for Aston Villa. I’ve never been able to find anything about him playing for them though. His name was Jackie (John) Findlay. That was back in the 70’s. He was my brother’s best pal.

Nowt against Brum, worked there for a good many decades and (first) married a chap born in Aston (guess who he supported LOL). Took me a few years to gather why one end of their ground was named afteer a pub .......

However Birmingham is not and never will be, in the Black Country!
