Only bought a campervan a week ago but am an experienced camper
Hey everyone, just saying hi and asking an initial question

I bought a Mazda Bongo last week. It's got a Zig cf9 power unit

I have no previous experience of this unit or leisure batteries so I've been researching them over the last few days

Consequently I have some very specific questions I'd like to ask

Which forum would be the best place to post my questions?

Thanks a lot and keep safe

I wouldn't really worry where you post your Qs. Just ask them.

Normally the fridge when driving is run from the engine alternator through the vehicle battery. The usual system has a relay which only operates when the engine is running.
What are the controls on the fridge? Some have a switch so you can power it from 12v (engine) gas or 240 volt. I suspect your bongo may not have a 240v system although I could well be wrong! :)
But it also depends on what sort of fridge you have, it may be a 12v only compressor type or an absorption type which will also run on gas.

More info needed. :)
