I'm a newbie
hi all I've never owned a motor home but feel now is the time. So as a total novice and thinking of spending about £20 k what should I expect to get?
There are just the 2 of us and a collie
I would prefer a fixed bed and nothing massive and nothing vw size too small
Is there a few brands that I should look at to be reliable and good quality
Cheers all

I can recommend the one that we have, it’s a Knaus Boxlife 600. Fixed bed in the back which slides up and down so loads of storage underneath. It’s just the two of us and two dogs and there is more than enough room. I think the quality is very good, the German conversions all seem to be of good quality. The base vehicle is a Fiat Ducato with the robotised gearbox which we like as it makes for nice easy driving in the automatic setting.

The more I Google the more I realise that for £20k I'd only get a 20 year old van boo hoo

The best £15 you could spend would be to become a member on here.
Then you could go to resources and download the brilliant motorhome buyers guide.
It will give you vital information and advice on things you've not even thought of yet.
We're a friendly bunch on here and no question is a daft question when your new to this, and we were all there once, so ask away ........

We've just purchased used and like most things, the one you really want is just that bit more than you were planning to spend...not unhappy though.
