Hi everyone,
We purchased an citroen Relay minibus last October and have converted it over the winter months. D day is Wednesday for our first trip out, a couple of nights on Anglesey wild camping near as poss to beaches we might try out the Lleyn as well. Just hoping swmbo enjoyes it, as she has put as much effort as myself in making the camper looking and feeling good. All equiped for 12v and site hook up, but would prefer wilding.
Found it easy with dvla getting changed to motor caravan and insurance for £180 with agreed value and no no claims entitelment.
We are using 1. 110 amp leasure battery with a relay to charge up, and all LED lighting, might consider installing solar if we enjoy the experience.
Big thanks to the site have found many posts with good guidance
Thing is now all the work is almost done which I really enjoyed doing, I am finding myself looking at possible vans to start over again! Duh:thumb:

We have a Thetford porta loo, located it in a cupboard behind the passenger seat. We visited a local MH dealer to look at the different layout's and decided we did not want floor to roof cupboards, compartments or overhead lockers as they felt just to claustrophobic, the ex minibus with plenty of windows and an open layout just felt right, especially when the windows were dark tinted. Heating presently is a 2kw gas cylinder type heater, I installed a kidde carbon monoxide alarm for safety, will fit an eberspacher type if all goes well.
Storage isnt a problem yet!

4 yrs in total but not consecutively. Just bought the 3rd.
Well done on such a beautiful conversion - you must be really handy. You could give up your day job & do full-time conversions.

Enjoy the lifestyle!

Hi Oggie - welcome.

What a cracking conversion, I bet you will appreciate it more than a bought one - built just as you want it.

Stay safe, enjoy it and hope to see you about.

Trikeman. :winky:
