Just about at the stage where my roaming feet want to go a wandering - but prefer to drive there. :)

Looking to rent a couple of times for holidays before buying, and was hoping someone would give me a few tips ... or shedloads.

Looking for a 3/4 berth (One adult & one tall, lanky teenage boy) diesel -about 120bhp?, would like to get 30+ mpg. Like the idea of double and 2 singles. Can hire a new (or newish) one and in a couple of years get a 2/3 year old one.

Does an 'overcab' mean bed space is increased?
Does a 3/4 berth mean t is just a bit too big too stay 1/2 nights in a place and then move on?
Is a 'garage' just a large storage area? Do you really need it?

    Hope someone can advise :)

OK I will start off on the garage, oh WELCOME by the way.

The Garage, some love em some not, I/we would not be without one, it looks like you could be cyclists so its someplace safe for your bikes and your wet gear when you get back back from a ride and you have a bed ready to crawl into whenever you need it, true multitasking space.

Thanks. Taking wigster's advice 'don't be afraid to ask daft questions' ... is the garage accessible form both outside and inside?

And it could be I won't be getting much sleep if I am monitoring this forum ...

Some garages are some are not. Mine isn't . I would struggle for storage in my motor home without it though as i live at the moment in mine long term.

Ok thanks. Suppose best bet is to go to a 'show' and see a few! Do you get to take any for a test drive ...

If you are a pretty serious about buying I know you can have little test drives at the shows but not sure how far you go, after that it would be wise to follow it up at a dealers premises and book a proper test drive.

If you can get yourself down to Lincoln next weekend you will get to see a good selection of layouts, including those with garages. The Warners Motorhome show is the last of the season so could well be some bargains.
