Since April 1846 but have always camped.
The weather is quite pleasant, this is the first time that we have been away for ages as the puppy is now just the right size so ready for the break. The site is called Bainbridge Ings and is quite decent. So can recommend it. Only a 10 minute walk into town and it is starting to get busy for the " Grand Depart".
Nice.::bigsmile:

Have to keep myself out of the antique shops though

Have fun :thumb:

We're heading there tomorrow for the weekend.

We've stayed at that site a few times but this time we're using the CC site, it's a bit closer to the town centre and Linda broke her ankle a few months ago which is still sore if she walks too much.

Make sure you get some fish & chips at the shop/cafe in Hawes - they are very good!

Hawes

We were in Hawes 1st week of July last year. We stayed a the CC site - good standard, as you expect, but surrounded by trees, so no view of surrounding countryside. You could have been anywhere. Moved for the second half of the week to Honeycott - just the other side of the town. Equally good facilities, cheaper than CC, cheaper wifi, and great views! We walked the Herriot Way a four day walk from Hawes, suing local buses and the local dial a ride community transport. All of the recommendations others have made are great - The pub with the waterfall, The Green Dragon did great food to, and it's not more than a two mile walk from Hawes. Great artists studio opposite the pub, a lady who makes fantastic pictures with merino wool felt. We also went to the Hawes Bash on the Saturday night a local music festival. The Burger Queen burgers were fab ( local too). On the way home ( via Liverpool to see some old friends) we went to a CC with a fantastic view of the Roaches. We stayed there 2 nights, and did the Roaches walk before heading for home, altogether a bit fitter!
