Martin and Jane are travelling around Europe for a year in a Hobby motorhome.
Martin was made redundant after working for 26 years for a family company in Somerset until it was sold. We had always joked about travelling in a motorhome when we retired but this gave us the opportunity much earlier.
We bought our secondhand left-hand drive Hobby T600FC in February 2007 and, being new to motorhoming, went on a few trips in the UK to learn the ropes. In September 2007 we set off on our Odyssey. We have so far (early March 2008) visited France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria (only Vienna), Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
We are views / archaeology / countryside / mountains / walking people rather than sun / sea / sand, and this has flavoured our itinerary. We are thoroughly enjoying the freedom of motorhoming and have definitely been bitten by the bug.
