Hello everyone I have a my water water leak every now and again the pump will start up I have check as best as possible and can’t find the leak THIS PART MIGHT HELP there is water dripping from the main water tank But only when the pump is on so that tells me it’s a cold line around the tank but it all seems dry. Any suggestions pls. C

I assume it’s a pressure system you have fitted and not a micro switch, if so we had similar in our Adria when the pump would come on for seconds every few hours, I never found a leak so just left it. I thought it could be a faulty NRV so water getting back to tank causing pressure to drop, apart from that I couldn’t think of anything.

I found out the other day, while traveling on the road, a tiny split in the plastic spigot coming out of the boiler. It made the pump start every now and then, after it pressurised the system. Parts in the post.
Check any plastic connections on the hot side, the get brittle after a while.

When you say you have a leak from the main water tank are you referring to the tank in the floor or under the boiler unit? Our c-tourer has a little "wee" from the boiler overflow under the van if we leave the hot water on, like a small blow off valve. Pump runs for a fraction of time and then stops. Dripping from the main tank is either the overflow or the take off point but that is before the pump.

This really made me look for the water leak after a certain Garage down in Wellington and motorhome supplier that does Carthago wanted £132 an hour to try and find the leak , I asked if they had drawings of the pipe runs or if they could get any the answer was NO we would just have to look
I have to say after 3 days of looking everywhere I finally found it leaking , and yes it had been drain down ever winter. You can see a big hatch in the floor this only goes in a short way before being sealed up with no way of getting in. I had to cut the floor and replace 2 plastic tee junctions then repaired the floor.
Really glad I did it, god knows what sort of a bill I would have ended up with. No more noise from the pump starting up ever few seconds.

There appears to be one jubilee clip missing unless that's the 'before' pic.
It's been sliced along the pipe presumably to fit the pipe hopefully put in place after as you say! It did make me wonder if they ought to have had a joint like that somewhere easier to inspect.

Well done but it strikes me as strange that at such a major connection junction, there was already an inspection hatch in such an expensive vehicle! 😡

PS. I presume you tightened and added a few more jubilee clips to the bottom junction in the picture before you closed the hatch? 😄

thanks for all your messages. Yes all jubilee clips are in place now and no leaks it does seem unbelievable to have all those connections without a hatch. Chris

Just reread my earlier post, it should have read ' junction, there was NOT already an inspection hatch'. 🤬

Note to self, ALWAYS read posts before publication! 😡
