Hi, I have a Visionplus TV and have managed to loose the 12v power pack. Having now had a scholar panel fitted I am determined not to pay the EHU costs if at all possible. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement.

No, don't think so. It was a black box with a lead and 12v cig plug on one end and a pin on the other end for connecting direct into the TV. Basically it is exactly the same as the 230 v power pack but has a cigarette lighter plug rather than a 3 pin plug.

If you supply with 12v from the van you just need a lead.. no power pack ..

does this look correct. ?

Yes looks a bit like the missing part, but I had assumed that the 'black box' that was in the middle of the cable was essential? I will try and find a photo of the part as I'm not really sure why the black box is there if it isn't essential.

It may have been a 12vdc regulator which would control the output to 12v .. not required unless you plan to use the TV when driving when the voltage will increase to 14. 4 some TVs are quite ok with that .. others not so ..maybe you would prefer to have it..

in which case you need this Broken Link Removed

Jim, thanks for that looks exactly the same. However as the TV isn't used whilst driving I will probably go for the cheaper option. Thanks for explaining the difference.

Man after my own heart ..

However , if you are on EHU and your van charger is charging the battery that your ciggy socket is wired to, remember to use the 230v TV adapter... same reason as before.
