Just looking
Hi.am a complete novice to Forum's and M.H so this is my first attempt.Retirement has given me a chance to fulfill my long time wish to have a M.H so am hiring a 2 Berth for my wife and I.We live in Essex but daughter and family moved to Durham so starting our journey in York/Durham but not got a clue where to go then.Any suggestions or recommendations and tips would be great.i joined M.G members club as I think that means I can use their sites free of charge.Thank you all

I live near Durham the county is a great place 'The land of Prince Bishops'. Loads of lovely country side. I would visit Beamish museum it has a caravan site near by. Durham city is lovely. Get your eyes tested at 'Barnard castle' lol but has lovely town and countryside and is the more southern part of Co. Durham. Seaham is really nice with a Fabulous ww1 statue (Tommy). If you like quiet countryside Blanchland is lovely and you can follow the valley towards Stanhope and again south towards 'Highforce waterfall'. There's a great ww2 museum near Pickering (Eden camp) that's worth a look and has campsites near by.
Good luck on your adventure.

I'm also from Essex, Yorkshire, Northumberland are lovely places to visit, I haven't been to Durham yet. Your interests may not be mine, but there just appears to be more space and life appears to be at a slower pace but that is just my opinion.
