attached should be a photo of the control unit in our 2016 Hymer. Reading the the instructions in the hand book is vey complicated, I could freeze before I get the heating going.

A am sure someone out there will be able to give me an easy ABC of how to control the controls!

Since 2008 & many years tugging
The instructions are naff, plenty of good youtube videos on how to use it.
To get you started:-

Press the knob-screen will display symbols.
For heating turn knob until Motohome is selected push knob
Turn until at required temp, push konb to confirm - heating will start.

Same proceedure for hot water except instead of temp you get a choice or ECO, HOT & Boost, on Boost heating turns off until water up to temp. Don't bother using ECO the hysterises is too wide it heats to 40 deg then won't come back on until water has dropped to 27 deg.

You also have a timer symbol where you can set a single time period a day, fairly obvious to set up, you set the on time, the off time them, heat temp, then water temp, it will retain the setting even with the timer turned off.

The hot water on it's own takes around 30-40min to get to Hot (60 deg), if you select Heating and Hot water it will take about 1½ hours for the water to get to 60.

The trick to get hot water for a shower first thing in the morning & a warm van is to set the timer for 40min before you want the heating on and set the hot water to Boost. So if you want heating on at 8:00 set the timer for 7:20 then the water will heat up on boost and the heating will come on when the water is up to temp about 8:00.

Also in the settings there is an offset which allows you to compensate for the position of the room sensor, so as the sensor in a Hymer is above the door you can set so it represents the temp in the centre of the van, very useful.

Getting better month by month.
Good description @Lenny HB , but don't forget you will need to select the power source after. either Gas only, elec only or a mix of both.
