I've read a few threads and saw comments that people are very helpful here.

I need help with battery settings using a victron solar charger 100/30

I want to charge hankook XV110MF

I haven't got a clue

Looks like a lead acid leisure battery . Default settings should be ok .

Yeah lead acid all the victron settings are for their own battery's

None are standard battery's.

Hence my question

I was advised to use the preset Gel Victron discharge (2) for lead acid.

I've got a Victron 75/10 solar controller and you can indeed select a standard lead battery in the drop down menu in the settings. See screenshot from the App below. If not available, maybe try a firmware update.

How is a Victron Battery any different to any other lead acid battery ? They are only putting their own Brand name on it !
Select Lead Acid and you will be fine !

lol that’s very confusing for the end user of the product .
Select a profile for a completely different battery chemistry to the one you are charging . Nice one Victron

Okay thanks for the replies. There is no setting for a lead acid battery. Hence my question.

I have just taken a picture of the instructions/choices.

So you can see why I'm asking.

Yes there is. See my screenshot above - "Standard Lead" battery selected from within the settings in the Victron App.

Sorry that's not a choice I have.

I have the choices shown in the manual or I have to edit a preset, which I haven't done because I am not sure of what settings I should use.

Are you using the Victron app with Bluetooth connection?

I don't see any lead options in my victron solar presets.

There are 3 different PzS tubular plate traction options, and if my rudimentary chemistry is correct Pz is lead?

This is Victron firmware 1.59 which the app says is current

Mine has updated it's self a few times over the last 5 years but I have never thought about looking to see if lead acid is now an option. Will have a look nd report back.

They are ALL lead acid, some with acid in the gel, some in glass mat, some in water.
Setting no 2 does flooded, that means wet lead acid, if that’s your flavour.
