When using my Garmin Sat Nav for co ordinates I'm confused by some details. When you have a setting of say N50.27.36 how should I enter the 36 as there are 3 spaces to do it. Should it be 036 or 36 or what:whistle::whistle:

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
Use Garmin settings to set up the entries as say .... 50.56789 etc. Handy, because if you ask Google maps for a "where is this" it gives it to you in that format. Then you can just enter it and navigate to it. :)

It is easy enough go on-line to find the way to convert to proper deg/min/sec

If you go to settings there are different foremats for input of coordinates.
If unsure I put a nought in front and then let it show you on the map.

GPS Degrees in decimal format, ( as shown by @Speve ) are much easier to use.. and less chance of being entered incorrectly.. and as already mentioned.. can be lifted straight off a Google map in that format
