Help required with setting GPS (1 Viewer)

When using my Garmin Sat Nav for co ordinates I'm confused by some details. When you have a setting of say N50.27.36 how should I enter the 36 as there are 3 spaces to do it. Should it be 036 or 36 or what

Use Garmin settings to set up the entries as say .... 50.56789 etc. Handy, because if you ask Google maps for a "where is this" it gives it to you in that format. Then you can just enter it and navigate to it.

But not the British way .

It is easy enough go on-line to find the way to convert to proper deg/min/sec

If you go to settings there are different foremats for input of coordinates.
If unsure I put a nought in front and then let it show you on the map.

GPS Degrees in decimal format, ( as shown by @Speve ) are much easier to use.. and less chance of being entered incorrectly.. and as already mentioned.. can be lifted straight off a Google map in that format

I suggest you look at Tonkas route South and practice with that info.
