Hymer 655 Starline

Village idiot
I have my solar connected to battery’s by Victron 15 amp Bluetooth. Can I connect it direct to the ebl 101. If so what connector do I need and a link to it would be nice. Thanks in advance. I would like to readout on the Hymer controls panel. Hymer 655 starline 2005.

See above link, in resources. Partway down page is ebl101 manual.
At back of manual will be a diagram so you can see which terminal you need.
To display on dt panel you will need the secret menu to enable solar charge display. Cant remember off hand the hymer code but can find it if required.
Plenty more info if you use the search button top right.
Edit, secret code not required as victron does nothave the signal wires required to display solar charge seperately on the dt panel.

I know the terminal to connect to and to get the solar on the display. It’s the connector going into the ebl 101 I need so I can can plug it in from the victron and away I go. Thanks for the help

Might help? Yes i know you are using victron.
Dont think you will be able to see the dt display solar amps alone as that requires the signal wires from the solar controller, presume, ie dont know, that victron has not that facility.

They are standard molex connectors. Make sure you get the correct pitch between terminals. Just google molex

Any help?

If you connect the solar regulator to Block 6 on the EBL you will see the overall current when it is charging i.e. solar current less any load current.
If you want to see what the solar is producing you can only do that with a Votronic or Schaudt solar regulator.
For connecting to Block you need Mate-N-Lock connectors.

Is this the one I need

Well if I can’t see the amps going into the battery from display. I may as well just leave it connected to the batteries 🔋😞

You will see the overall charge or discharge on the dt panel.

The dt panel has the facility if used with the schaudt or votronic controller to display the solar amps the panel is generating, this bit you will not see with the victron controller.

I suppose it’s not to bad I’ll l still have my Bluetooth to see what’s going on. Thanks

I don't know if the Victron allows it but the middle pin is to supply the starter battery through the relay in the ebl101. (Block 6 on the front of the EBL)
No its only a single output regulator that's why I mentioned other methods.

Thanks all I’ll have a think 💭 I suppose it will do no harm connecting to the 101 seeing charge going in at main screen. I still ha e the Bluetooth to tell me all the other stuff 👍😷🥃

These are MNL (Mate'N'Lok) connectors, available from auto electrics suppliers including Altec Automotive and 12VoltPlanet. You crimp the terminals on the wires, then slide them into the connector shell and a barb locks them in place.

On the 3-way connector, pin 1 is negative, pin 3 is positive to the Leisure battery. You need to fit the 15A fuse labelled 'Solar' if it's not already fitted. The solar amps is accounted for by the control panel in the same way the charger and load amps are accounted for. As you say, if you want to know the solar amps you can use Bluetooth.

On the EBL101, pin 2 goes to the starter battery positive, so pins 3 and 2 is a convenient place to connect a BatteryMaster.
