Hi Artc
The motor trade as a general rule now fit what is called a stretch boot, (not to be confused with universal boots) these are top quality correctly sized boots for all makes and need a machine to fit them, without dismantling the drive shaft, you can obtain these at any good motorfactors and then use them as standard boots taking the shaft apart to fit them.
The alternative is the main agent for the genuine part
Main agent boot £20 +
Stretch boot £9.00 ------ fitted at a garage £40-£45 each
Universal type boot £6.00 about £5.50 over priced and as much use as a brown paper bag

 Another way to fit without a machine and without stripping down the drive shaft:-

Cut off the old gaiters.
Buy a pair of Universal Gaiters.
Carefully cut along the seam.
Place them over the drive shaft.
Glue them back together with Super Glue.

It works and our Simon has done it on several cars. The repairs have lasted for years. :winky:

We also use this idea for Rubber 'O' rings that are not quite the correct size.
