Swift escape 2019
Exp
I'm a newbie
Hey guys! 2 quick questions me and my wife just got a 2019 swift escape compact last week, i just filled the fresh water tank and the cap will not lock for me! Also ive switched the pump on and my kitchen sink working no probs but shower/basin wont put out water? Help please thanks!

With the water tank lock, are you pushing it in quite hard as you turn it to close. It does have to be pushed in and then turned, then it should lock ok.

hi welcome/// if the system was completely empty it may need bleeding through, open the sinnk / shower tap and let it get the air out for a short while. failing that there may be an isolater tap but i am not aware of one.

Try lockinf/unlocking a few times off the tank. If it won't lock its jammed, new cap needed.
Water.... It may be on microswitch. Try turning on the kitchen tap slightly and then the shower. If water flows from the shower it has a faulty microswitch.
If still no water at the shower it may be blocked with debri from the plumbing instalation.

Don't use WD 40 on your locking cap. Try putting it in a bowl of hot water for a while and then as said earlier make sure you push it home first before turning. Water could be just air locked. Are you getting water out of the hot and cold tap at the sink? Run kitchen tap, when steady flow open another tap and so on for both hot and cold.

Hi Mick and Welcome. Having recently purchased your 2019 Swift last week I’d be more inclined to contact your supplying dealer for advice on these matters and if they are unable to sort your problems over the phone take it back to them to sort out - that’s one of the good things about buying new.
